Covenant Theology II – The Newness of the New Covenant

In this second of two sermons on Covenant Theology, we discover why the New Covenant is so very new, why it is better than the old, and how that newness should be practiced in the life of the church. Join us as we look at several passages of scripture, mostly from the prophets, to understand the important characteristics of those who are participants in the New Covenant. We also learn to whom the tokens, or marks, of the New Covenant should be applied. This sermon lays out why we, as a confessional, reformed Baptist church, baptize the way we do. We believe that the Bible emphasizes the new over the old, the better over the flawed, the substance over the shadow. This Biblical emphasis teaches the church to practice credobaptism alone, or the baptizing of those who confess spiritual newness of life, rather than those who are incapable of confessing Christ. Join us as we investigate this rather touchy topic.
