Our message is a topical sermon, one that will take advantage of the theme of thankfulness to hear from God’s Word on the topic, as well as four testimonies of those who were thankful despite their trials. We will hear from Charles Spurgeon, Elizabeth Prentiss, Edward Payson, and the Pilgrims. Our passages will be [esvignore]Colossians 3:15-17[/esvignore] and [esvignore]Psalm 100:4-5[/esvignore]. We will return to our expository study of Matthew next week. There will be one more topical sermon this year as we approach the season of Christ’s birth where we will marvel at the Word become flesh together from the scriptures, but most of December will be our ongoing study of Matthew.
