He Was Born To Be A Priest

[esvignore]Hebrews 2:10-18[/esvignore] – During the Christmas season, we spend a lot of time talking about the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. Much attention is given to the details surrounding his entrance into the world and the fact that he came as a man like us.

But, for most of history, Jesus wasn’t here. In the beginning He was with God, and now He sits again with God. But for a short 30 or so years in the history of the world, Jesus walked the earth with us. [esvignore]John 1:14 says,”the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”[/esvignore]

What then is the big deal about the birth of Jesus? Why did he put on flesh? Why did God walk amongst us? Couldn’t God have snapped his fingers, said a word, and made it all better?

In [esvignore]Hebrews 2:10-18[/esvignore], the author sharpens our focus in matters such as this where he communicates that Jesus put on flesh so that he could be a high priest in service to God. Listen to Pastor Lee work through this passage as well as others in the book of [esvignore]Hebrews[/esvignore] as he brings to light the truths surrounding Jesus’ putting on flesh so that he could be the better high priest that we need so desperately.
