God’s Glory in Christ’s Death on the Cross

[esvignore]John 12:27-50[/esvignore] – Here we come to the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry, prior to his crucifixion. In his final words to the world he came to save, he tells us the purpose for which he came. That purpose is for God’s name to be glorified.

John 12:27-28

The bulk of the sermon will dwell on how God receives glory to his name through the death and resurrection of his son. We will discuss four ways Jesus glorifies God on the cross:

  1. In the judgment of the world
  2. In his defeat of Satan
  3. In drawing all of his people to himself

John 12:27-50
