Proverbs 4:1-4; Deuteronomy 6:7 – In this challenging message to fathers, we look to the Proverbs to discover five important marks of the faithful father. Our children are far too important to waste our parenting years on frivolity and selfishness, we must be pro-active teachers, leading by example. Give your children a father who is a joy to honor. A good sermon for fathers and for young men who hope to be fathers.
4:1 Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction,
and be attentive, that you may gain insight,
2 for I give you good precepts;
do not forsake my teaching.
3 When I was a son with my father,
tender, the only one in the sight of my mother,
4 he taught me and said to me,
“Let your heart hold fast my words;
