In [esvignore]Matthew 13:53-58[/esvignore], we discover that Jesus is rejected, not merely by the religious leaders of his day, but by his home town. They couldn’t believe that Jesus was who He said, after all, he was the carpenter’s son they all knew since he was a kid. Bu that unbelief had an effect. It limited the Lord’s work in their midst. This is a lesson for us, even as believers, and has a simple but important directive for us – believe in the midst of unbelief, no matter what.
