Here is our third sermon on the highly relevant topic of Christian marriage and gender roles as we work our way through the epistle to the Ephesians. We will hear the husband’s duty to selflessly love his wife from [esvignore]Ephesians 5:25-33[/esvignore]. From this passage we draw out the the Duty of Love, the Aim of Love, the Manner of Love, and the Proclamation of Love. Husbands and husbands-to-be are challenged to be the Christ-figure to their bride in the pattern of Jesus and the church. This last sermon in our three part marriage series continues to call the church to be peculiar, following the pattern of Scripture over the ways of the world.
